Some say LP records are out of fad. Before the birth of CDs, LP records served as the major format of audio recording. An LP or gramophone record has a characteristic 10-12 rounded shape. Reawakened in the 21st century, LP records persist to increase in popularity and are still gaining recognition up to date.

Thanks for playing along with the shenanigans yesterday - if you were paying attention you've probably figured out that we're announcing a FALL TOUR today! We're very happy to say that we're going to visit 22 cities in the US that we haven't been to recently and are really excited to see you guys again. And for the rest of you overseas- no need to worry, we'll get to you all soon!

And if you're a member of their fan club, Northern Downpour, keep an eye out for pre-sale starting next week Wednesday!

The 12 string guitar can be played in exactly the same way as a normal 6 string guitar. The strings are arranged in pairs and also tuned in pairs to exactly the same pattern as the 6 string, the usual E-A-D-G-B-E. However, the lower four pairs of strings (E-A-D-G) are tuned in octaves whereas the top two pairs are in unison. So, if the strings are tuned the same, what is the point of having a 12 string guitar at all? The answer of course is the wonderful ringing tone which the instrument produces. The pairs of strings vibrating together give the instrument an almost organ-like sound and much greater carrying power than the traditional acoustic guitar.
